ESTATE OFFICER

JOB PURPOSE             Under the direction and guidance of the Chief Manager, lead the provision of support for the efficient management and maintenance of the property of the NDPC

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manage the estates unit of NDPC.
  2. Lead the provision of technical support in the periodic maintenance of NDPC’s property.
  3. Provide technical support in the preparation of budget estimates for works on NDPC’s building/equipment.
  4. Inspect sanitation and maintenance of NDPC’s Estates.
  5. Supervise furnishing of offices and residential accommodation.
  6. Submit periodic reports on the maintenance of the property of the NDPC.
  7. Ensure supply of reliable utility services.
  8. Ensure staff appraisals are carried out in a timely matter.
  9. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Manager or Director.

       Qualification and Experience

  1. Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management or its equivalent.
  2. A minimum of three (3) years post qualification work experience in Estate and Property Management.
  3. Must pass a competitive selection interview conducted by the NDPC in collaboration with the PSC.

         Competencies in:

  1. Leadership skills.
  2. Computer literacy.
  3. Financial administration procedures and procurement processes.
  4. Skills in Strategic and project management
  5. Analytical skills.
  6. Required knowledge in relevant computer applications.
  7. Report writing skills.
  8. Inter-personal and communication skills.
